She mounts a horse, throws the ball in front of her,
follows it and climbs up the mountain without being
frightened by all the noise and without turning her
face. The closer she gets, the louder the racket gets. They
insult her as a woman. The bird himself does the same,
he loudly mistreats her with a voice so strong that it is
astonishing in comparison to his size. She sees the cage,
she arrives there. She takes the cage. The bird softens,
praises her as she deserves, he says that he knows well
whom she is, that he is her slave and she has only to ask
what she wishes. She asks him where the yellow water is.
He tells her and she draws some water into a small
silver bottle she had brought with her. She asks him
about the tree, which is huge. She says that she
cannot take it with her.
