The bird replies that a very little branch is enough etc.
The princess says to the bird must do more for her,
because she wants to bring her two brothers home with
her; he protests : Bird, you are my slave, your life is in
my hands — I cannot refuse you anything, says the
bird, etc. He shows her a pitcher, containing some
water: Take that pitcher, he says, and spread some water
over the black stones, this will be the way to find the
two brothers you are looking for. The princess threw
some water on all the black stones and each of them
turned into a man; she recognised her brothers : she
asked them what they were doing in the place where
they had been, and they answered that they were
coming back from a deep sleep, etc. She showed them
the bird, etc. All the princes who were there, thanked
their benefactress and liberator. They mounted their
horses once more, and the princess went back home.
Along the way they thanked the Dervish, whom they
found dead, as if etc.
