P. 109
One day, when the two princes were hunting, an old
Muslim devotee appeared at the door, and asked leave to
enter, as it was the hour of prayer. They asked the princess,
who gave her leave to enter. When the old devotee ended
her prayer, she looked around the palace, etc. She found
the princess who treated her with great reverence, etc. The
devotee said that the palace was wonderful, etc. but it
lacked three things to make it unique: the talking bird
named Bulbul Hezar, whose voice draws all other singing
birds to it; the singing tree, and the yellow water. All the
leaves of the tree sing, and some yellow water in a basin
shoots up in the air and falls back down, as if it were
pressed, etc. She taught her which coastline to follow in
order to find those things, etc.
