The Groundskeeper brought up the two princes and the
princess all together as if they were his own children and they
thought of him as of their own father, and he procured the
teachers to learn to read and write and to learn the sciences,
and he treated the princess in the same way, etc. He gave the
princes other teachers for phisical exercise. The princess also
learned with them to ride on horseback and to throw the spear,
and she learned to play all sorts of musical instruments. The
Grounds-keeper, who loved them very much, etc. had a wonder-
ful house built for them at some distance from the town, where
he lived together with them, until it was completely built and
furnished. He died and the princes lived in that same palace in
great harmony with the princess, well contented with their
their wealth and abundant possessions which they inherited.
