Her brothers, coming home, find the princess saddened.
She is reluctant to tell her brothers why. She finally
explains and the elder brother leaves.Before leaving, he
gives her a knife with its sheath, begs her to take the
knife out of its sheath every day during his absence,
warning her that she will know that he is dead when
she will see a drop of blood falling from the knife. He
leaves following the coastline,etc.
