kittens! - She exclaimed, - goodness knows how
           much you are suffering, with those little paws of
           yours! Let me do it, come on, I shall do it!” She
           took upon herself all of the cats’ work and in did
           it in a second. Then she washed up, swept the
           kitchen floor and put every tool back in its place.
           The kitchen now looked like a drawing room and
           the cats called for the Mammone cat and mewing
           they told him, "She sewed for me!", "She knitted
           for me!", "She washed up for me!” They told
           Mammone of all the help that they had received
           from Caterina, and they were so happy that they
           were jumping and hopping all over the room.
             The Mammone Cat, hearing what Caterina had
           done, asked her, "What do you like for breakfast?
           Brown bread and onions or white bread and
           cheese?" "Oh! Please, give me brown bread and
