Thus the ugly sister arrived at the door of the
fairies; she grabbed the knob and started
knocking so strongly that it seemed she was going
to break it. Hearing all that ruckuss the fairies
inside said: “Young girl, drive a finger of yours
into the keyhole and open the door” and the ugly
sister resolutely thrust her finger through and
they broke it off. Then the door opened and the
ugly sister, furious and enraged, rushed into the
manor, hurled the sieve to the floor and started
to cry, "Take your sieve, you wicked fairies!”
Meanwhile, she saw the cats intent on their house
work and bawled, "What droll mean cats! Hey
