near and far.The day of the wedding feast even the
King who was the father of the bride showed up,
but he didn’t recognise her.
The feast was organized so that everyone had
their own meal. The bride sat down in-between
her unwitting father and her groom. But she
made it so that her father would receive only food
that had not been salted, and so he ended up not
eating anything.
Once the dinner was over, the bride told her
father:
- And you, who have come from so far, what do
you think of this feast? Why haven’t you eaten
anything?
And he replied:
- Well what do you expect! If it is the custom in
these parts, then I won’t complain, but I just
