collection. But right at that moment the first
strike of midnight echoed through the air.
Cinderella's heart skipped a beat and she ran
away, leaving the prince dumbfounded.
Cinderella ran through the hall so fast that
she lost, ah! a crystal shoe. Oooh!
She left the building on the twelfth strike and
already the carriage was turning back into a
pumpkin; the coachman, the horses and the
valet were turning into mice and lizards again.
And her gorgeous dress was nothing more
than her usual tattered rags.
