A Sultan of Persia named Khosrou-Schah who was still
            but a prince, and who was very fond of wandering out
            at night, for this reason he would disguise himself so as
            best to satisfy his inclination. He had only just
            ascended to the throne of his father, who died of a
            grand old age, when he quickly returned to his old
            habit.

            One night, while he was walking down a street wearing
            one of his disguises, he was stopped in his tracks by a
            noise he heard from behind a door. As he saw a light
            behind a door, he saw three maidens sitting on a sofa
            who were chatting among themselves laud enough to be
            heard by him. He listened in and heard the eldest say:
