hat evening the dwarfs returned home
from the mines. Snow-White was lying
on the floor, and she was dead. They
loosened her laces and looked in her hair
for something poisonous, but nothing
helped. They could not bring her back to
life. They laid her on a bier, and all seven
sat next to her and cried and cried for
three days. They were going to bury her,
but they saw that she remained fresh.
She did not look at all like a dead
person, and she still had beautiful red
