the palace turned into a court with
pages, guards and ladies, as beautiful
as the sun. They dressed Maria in
velvet like a queen, and the
chamberlain solemnly celebrated the
wedding.
After three days of feasting, the
newly wed king and queen went in a
coach to pick up Maria’s sisters, who
came to the court with them. The two
sisters were married, one to a count,
the other to a marquis, and they all
lived together happily ever after.
