go with him, but when they were in
the forest the King’s enemies
attacked them, killed the King and
captured his daughter. They brought
the Princess away with them and
then abandoned her.
Poor thing! She did not know
where to go.
After walking for a long time she
arrived to the court of a Queen and
went into her service. She was so
good that the Queen loved her more
than all the other maidens who had
been serving her for a long time.
