          how the king desired to see the eagle ;
          whereupon       Arrighetto    quickly
          bestowed himself withinside, taking
          with him certain sweetmeats which
          had great virtue to sustain nature, and
          arranging the inside of the image so
          that he could open or close the door
          at his will. Then he bade them take

          his daughter, and the goldsmith went
          to arrange it in the damsel's chamber,
          beside the bed.
